Two forms of the same molecule
Modafinil is made of two mirror-image forms of the same molecule, known as the R and S forms. Armodafinil contains only the R form. This is the main structural difference between the two.
Common tablet strengths
Modafinil is commonly supplied as 100 mg and 200 mg tablets. Armodafinil is most often supplied as 150 mg tablets.
